Why would raising the level cap make the game more challenging? If anything it'd make the game easier. Just bump up the level of monsters if you want more challege, or as someone suggested, better AI. They can also add more environmental effects that need to be taken into consideration while battling, maybe how water attacks will be weak in lava regions, or air attacks do more damage in moist conditions.

The way I see it not having seperate servers is a good advantage of GW, they should captalize on this innovation.
I like the idea of a competitve mission, but a co-op might be a little...difficult?
I can just imagine having 3 groups that all speak different languages try and work together.

Referring to the introduction of new classes. IF they do add them, it would most likely not be in the expansion, but as a seperate patch released at the same time as the expansion. They said before that expansions will include new content, not new engine changes/features. I consider a new class a feature, which will probably be included both in the expansion as well as a seperate patch.

This is exactly why the level will not go up. For skill, all cars need to go 155. Track layout, road hazards, different levels of agressiveness, random malfunctions, teamwork, coordination of support, etc...
These are what start to matter when the cars are limited to the same speed.
Winning takes SKILL once all other conditions become equal.

that's given the mobs don't increase in level...if they can manage to increase the skill without increasing the level of the mobs(and therefore difficulty)....I'll be extremely happy. I like the level cap.

I just had a thought while reading this so I'll throw it out.
What I would like to see in the new expansion are new skills, not regular skills but skills that have two cross class attribute requirments. Something like death magic + Illusion for a spell named Feign Death (no details, just brainstorming). They would have to be carefully balanced to avoid an overpowered skill leading to "build of the month" syndrome, but I think they would add some depth to the "class" system.

Ok this is the last time I post in a forum, I swear, but if you have ever read anything a-net has ever said about GW you will know that this thread is quite pointless, as far as what you keep saying over and over.

There won't be a raised lvl cap.
There will not be a new class (any time soon)
There will be new skills that may implement new class styles, but new classes would just cause there to be to much overlap between already existing classes and then there would be more outcasts like rangers mesmers and necro's.

Someone mentioned that there was only one melee class and that by adding rogues, there would be more strategy, I would suggest playing the game a little more. Yes it is true there is only one melee primary, but a w/mo is completely different than a w/e and so by having a second profession there are 5 warrior primary's and then you can have even more melee classes that are warrior secondary.

If they put in rogues, like you keep saying, what you'll get a class that's not as good as a warrior, and a class thats not even as good as a ranger, and rangers are already, unfortunately, usually excluded from most pvp groups.

During beta a-net did hint at some things that they may consider for expansions, which included added character slots, because their would be the possiblity of new races (I'm thinking about Shiverpeak Dwarves, or possibly those snake looking things from the desert). Their will deffinitely be new skills and by adding new missions, you may not need more xp, but with new areas and missions comes new items such as armor and weapons, artifacts and ankh's. I imagine they will add new crafting materials for the new armor's, new char customization options. As an avid rpg fan, I would love new missions solely to continue the story even if it served no other purpose than to provide a few more hours to my solo gaming.

I imagine new guild options, pvp arena's, group sizes, and many other GvG and PvP options could also be added. Seeing as how i'm not a game developer I don't have much idea as to what is possible within the gaming realm but,
I do know that a-net has already proven they are a dedicated bunch of designers and gamers, and will not put the game at risk of losing it's luster, gameplay, or community.

ps. and that means there will not be any lvl cap raises.

Here is my idea for a stealth class, in whatever form you name it.

Have an attribute called "Stealth" and for each point in it, your aggro range is shrunk by X%. That way, once you hit Stealth 12 you have almost no aggro range. That is probably broken though, because you'd be able to solo missions like Elona. Still, I think that it can work if tweaked.

No level raising, it has been discussed and dismissed so many times by the devs! Get over it!

I think we will definetely see at least one new class, more than likely a rogue/ninja style one, new skills, new pets, new architecture depicting the "Canthian" look (sort of fuedal Japanese I assume?), new weapons and armor, new pets, larger group size, new enemies, and at least a few very cool suprises...I am looking for the day when we get war tools...Seige engines, catapults, trebuches, and the like for missions storming enemy guildhalls! Perhaps the ability to travel through time in the world, to early Ascalon, Orr, before the Charr invasion, to the time of the Druids...would be neat, and a good way to expand without enlarging the current map!

My one concern about getting new races or professions or skills isn't about whether it'll be balanced or whatever. It's about how would we get the new things and start new characters off from ground zero if the expansions are aimed at ascended charcters.

Say they come out with dwares as a playable race and rogue as a playable class. Would we have to start all over in pre-sear with our new characrter, so that we are at level 20 by the time we get to the expanded content areas?

ANet said that the entire concept of their Chapters is that they will be aimed at Ascended characters in order to keep from having all the balancing issues with monsters that they had to address in the original. THey expect everyone playing the new chapters to be fully functional lvl 20's. So HOW do we get to play the new characters or jobs.

LOL.. I realize I just repeated myself in this post.. but honestly I really do keep asking myself the same questions over and over trying to figure this one out.

Maybe Gaile or Alex will have a clue that they can dangle out to us.
